About Me

About Me

Hi, my name is Amy and I am a wife and Mother and also a fully qualified and insured Holistic Massage and Deep Tissue Therapist.

I have been interested healing, astonomy, astrology, palm reading and crystal therapy since childhood.

When I was around the age of 9 my cousin demonstrated a few massage movements and asked me to give her a back massage to help relieve pain.  Since then I've been giving friends and family massages but it wasn't until 2010 that I qualified as a Holistic Massage Therapist.

Prior to becoming a therapist I studied Window Display, Prop Making and Art and Design at college.  I went on to work for various retailers doing window display in the local shopping centre at The Bear Factory and The Perfume Shop, when I reached my early 20's I started working in an office doing admin, website maintenance and photography for The Collector Zone, unfortunately when the company went into administration in 2007 I moved on to work as an order processor for Optoma, about 6 months after I started working for Optoma I began to receive CBT and NLP unfortunately I had to give up full time work because I had a panic attack and kept making mistakes at work and felt that it would be best if I took so time off to recover.  A few months later I met a business man who was dating my Mother in Law, he offered me work as a part time PA to help me get back on my feet but unfortunately he was not who he said he was... so I had to stop working for him in order to remain safe! Fortunately whilst I working for him I was able to treat myself to a glorious massage treatment at the local spa and decided after having an incredibly restorative experience that I would like to be able to offer the same sort of experience to other people so I decided to get back in to merchandising on a part time basis whilst I went to college to do an evening course in Holistic Swedish Massage in 2009.

I found the same a course that had been studied by the best therapist I had ever received a massage from at the Belmore Holistic Training Center in Aylesbury and upon completion of the course I gained an ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Swedish Massage including Anatomy & Physiology & Business Awareness with a Credit to my name.

In 2010 "the seeds" for Climbing Rose Holistic Therapies "were sown" and I officially opened for business in June.

Since then I have gone on to gain a Gateways Diploma in Advanced Massage Techniques including Deep Tissue Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy and Trigger Point Techniques.

I have worked with many people over the years who have experienced a variety of different ailments including: Headaches, Insomnia, Anxiety, Depression, Irritability, Back Pain, Sciatica, Trapped Nerves, Frozen Shoulder, Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis Elbow, Low Immune System, Stress & Infertility.

Each client has been pleased to report improvements after just one treatment and most have found that after a course of 4-6 treatments on a weekly, fornightly or monthly basis depending on the severity of their symptoms that their body has started functioning normally again, free from pain, ease of movement and some have even reported feeling better than they ever have done before.
